1000 Miglia 2024: another triumph for Alfa Romeo
The 1000 Miglia 2024 has just come to an end, with Alfa Romeo once again showcasing its unrivalled dominance in the most beautiful race in the world.
The 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport, driven by Vesco and Salvinelli, was the first to cross the finish line in the 42nd re-enactment of the iconic 1000 Miglia, now a regularity race reserved for models that participated in the original competition or were produced between 1927 and 1957. On the third step of the podium was another Alfa Romeo, driven by Aliverti and Valente, who were also behind the wheel of a 1929 6C 1750. Two teams united by their passion and determination to reaffirm the Brand's role as a symbol of Italian sportiness and beauty in this prestigious event.
With DTM world champion Nicola Larini and his friend Luca Ciucci leading the way in this epic “travelling museum,” the 1000 Miglia 2024 sparked excitement among fans and car enthusiasts, serving as an occasion to celebrate the fusion of automotive passion and Italy’s outstanding beauty. The event also marked the debut of the Alfa Romeo Junior on the road, alongside the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport - the new special series that honours the first Alfa Romeo to win the 1000 Miglia in 1928.
